My very first Gold Digger comic was #21 and I’m soooo glad the series is up online for me to catch up! This is going to make for awesome reading as well as inspiration to continue perfecting my own artwork.
Fred, if you’re reading this, I gotta say this:
Your work’s really inspired me. As far as I’m concerned, you’re up there with Stan Lee, Jack Kirby and Joe Simon. You rock, from start to finish. Thank you.
I remember browsing a comic store as a wee lad and finding an issue on the shelf. Although I couldn’t buy the comic, it had left enough of an impression, that I had never forgotton the title and artistic style. About a month ago, I had found issue 200 and finally delved into the world of Gold Digger, and I have to say, while the art grabbed me as a child, the story, character interactions, and quality grabbed me as an adult. Thank you for creating the Gold Digger series.
Your strategy worked with me. I ordered the 4 issues past what you have here and got a subscription. It wasn’t likely that I was going to be able to spend nearly $200 just to catch up to current so this really created the incentive to jump back in. Thanks!
Comixology has the issues. We’re not sure why they weren’t posting them sooner, but I believe they’ve worked out a release schedule for catching up.
Hey Douglas! Forgot to come back and tell you: just a few days after your message, I checked and they were all there! Thanks!
Uh? My initial comment about wanting to buy digital versions is gone; that’s the second time my comments disappears. Do they get deleted by moderators because it’s wrong to say how much I’m glad Fred put all these issues up for free and that it made me want to buy the new issues?
Or is it because my messages mention a site other than Antarctic Press to buy the digital comics? You guys do get royalties no matter where I buy, right?
